Nicolas Cornil started music at a very early age. He first had classical piano tuition at the National Conservatory of music of the Hauts-de-Seine R\u00e9gion.<\/p>\n

He has always had a passion for film music and has loved creating music ever since he could play the piano. This explains why he chose to study film music composition at the International Music Academy in Nancy and why he decided to specialize in this particular field.<\/p>\n

He was then admitted to Lyon\u2019s University Masters degree in Music Applied to Visual Arts and thus continued his studies during a further two years, during which he was able to develop his skills, abilities and knowledge in this area.<\/p>\n

He has composed quite several very different kinds of music these past few years, including various television reports for ARTE and USHUA\u00cfA TV. \nHe also composed the sound track of several video games, one of which was created by Jean-Claude Van Damme,\u00a0and for an animated short film ordered by FOX DIGITAL STUDIO, a FOX CENTURY subsidiary.<\/p>\n

For his film music, he won the \u00ab\u00a0Best original music\u00a0\u00bb prize for a film called \u00ab\u00a0Monsieur Personne\u00a0\u00bb in 2015 awarded by the ESRA jury.\nHe was also awarded the \u00ab\u00a0Best score 2019\u00a0\u00bb at the Deep Focus Film Festival (USA).<\/p>\n

He also wrote the music of the film\u00a0\u00ab\u00a0Mohamed le Pr\u00e9nom\u00a0\u00bb, which was shown at the \u00ab\u00a0Short Corner\u00a0\u00bb of the 2016 Cannes Festival, and of a number of animated films that have been shown recently in many international film festivals such as the Annecy Festival and the \u00ab\u00a0Interfilm\u00a0\u00bb Berlin festival. \nThese films have won many prizes, in particular the \u00abCanal + Family Favourite\u00a0\u00bb at the 2019 international festival of Clermont-Ferrand and the \u00ab\u00a0Grand Jury Prize at the 2019 animated Short Nashville film festival in the USA, which enables the film to run for an Oscar.<\/p>\n

Multi-skilled, he can adapt his work and his music to film makers\u2019 needs and to various kinds of projects whatever the style may be.<\/p>\n

In addition, Nicolas gives solo piano concerts and is preparing an album in which he will express his artistic world. He also composes music for singers and teaches in a music school.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n
